Question: Was the promo version of The Spine, with this flute-less Au Contraire, pressed before or after the normal Spine was made? Because whichever way was second I'm guessing would probably be the intended arrangement of the song... If they first had the flute bit but then took it out for the promo, then no flute would be intended, and vice versa, so the debate would be over. - i don't actually know, but you may notice that there are two promo CDs, one of which was definitely released sometime before the other. --
