Talk:Almanac

From This Might Be A Wiki

In some official newsletter-ish thing that I got, they called their version of Clap Your Hands "Clap Your Hands (very adult version). Does anybody have any idea what this means? Some lyrical variations that aren't suitable for childrens, perhaps? --SweetAfton23

Well, Flans does say "oh shit" at one point. That could be it. -Augie

Thats deffinately probably it. Plus it's loud and noisey, not like the childrens rendition ~ fingertips

cover photo interp[edit]

I'm not down with the interpretation of the cover photo as "someone (Marty) catching someone else (Dan Miller) eating off a Day of the Dead shrine"—it just looks like a typical spread of backstage snacks to me. Day of the Dead altars typically include photos of the dead, flowers, candles and suchlike, no? I don't see that here. – Aliste

I agree with you Aliste, it just looks like the boys heading for food, like typical adult males, no special representation. ~ fingertips

Physical CD[edit]

Was this album released as a physical album or just a download only? If it was in physical form, could someone who owns it give me the UPC from the album? Thanks, --tae

its only for download -- Goodtimes2 (Not Logged In)

Back Cover Artwork[edit]

Check out this back cover artwork on discogs. Anyone know what this is? I don't remember it. Is it fan-made? --Duke33 21:30, 27 October 2010 (UTC)

i'm pretty sure it's official. somewhere i've seen a pdf (i probably have a copy) which consists of the front and that back artwork with cutting lines, for the purpose of printing out. i think it originally came with the digital download? --ant 21:36, 27 October 2010 (UTC)

Is there any explanation for why the venue cities are different when comparing the back cover PDF to those listed in the wiki tracklist? 58.105.59.14 00:07, 13 December 2023 (EST)

Drink 2004/2023 differences[edit]

I nearly replaced my 2004 version with the higher-quality 2023 download before I noticed that the 2023 Drink! is different, and not Glacially Slow even though it is titled as such. Be aware!

Also, the lengthy spoken introduction to Stalk of Wheat has been moved to the end of Famous Polka! 58.105.59.14 08:15, 11 March 2024 (EDT)
