Podcast Cue Sheets

From This Might Be A Wiki

Rogue Amoeba's Fission and a host of command-line tools (linked from link above) will read these cue sheets & split the mp3s into multiple files by cutting at MP3 frame boundaries, so there's no decode--re-encode audio quality penalty. Some CD burning programs will also read the list so you can make a CD of the podcast with track markers.

Note that the times are precise to the frame (75 frames per second- another CD-ism) instead of just the second which the podcast Segments listings have.

Note that iTunes renames the MP3 files from their whitespace-free names original names as hosted at tmbg.com such as TMBGPodcast28C.mp3 to the <title> of the <item> in the Podcasts's RSS, for instance TMBG Podcast 28C.mp3. I've hand-edited the cue sheets to reflect the no-whitespace versions. Also, the tmbg.com-hosted files vary in capitalization: most are named TMBGPodcast[episode].mp3, but for 1 and 3A, podcast is not capitalized.

Status: There are 24 podcasts with segment times. I plan to do one per day starting tomorrow Oct. 25 (today was burned doing wiki setup), so I'll be done in mid-November.
