Megaforce Records is the record label currently responsible for the manufacturing and distribution of all releases from Idlewild Recordings in domestic markets. In 2013, Megaforce supplanted Idlewild's previous collaborator, Rounder Records. Megaforce was originally founded in 1982 to publish Metallica recordings. Since then, the company has largely maintained a focus on metal artists, such as Anthrax. John Flansburgh has said that the folks at Megaforce "have a great approach to this challenging 21st century music business".
