Many new and exciting things happening in TMBGland. New Holiday bundles, new shirts, and NEW RECORDING SETS!
BRAND NEW: TMBG's DUO SET IN BROOKLYN
We have just mixed an unusual live show and now are making it available to you for deep headphone listening. For one brief shining moment on Saturday, November 29th, 2015, They Might Be Giants returned to their original format: a drum machine and synth bass tracked to a TEAC reel-to-reel tape recorder with a duo lineup of John L. on accordion and John F. on a Japanese telecaster (even taking care to bring back his original Fender Deluxe amp and minimal pedal complement). It was all Big 80s Systems at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn for that special set. Combining some early classics with recent numbers into a truly dynamic set of songs,
these recordings are a unique glimpse of They Might Be Giants Version 1.0.
To top things off, the second set that night reintroduced They Might Be Giants' long-standing live lineup of the 21st century and, like John Henry of legend, they set out to prove that live humans will always eclipse the heartless, error-free efforts of machines. Who won? Only you can decide.
But that is not the ONLY new recording…
THE COMPLETE DIAL-A-SONGS of 2015 and THE COMPLETE DIAL-A-SONGS of 2018
All 52 weeks of posts from each year in two power-packed bundles, plus your choice of commemorative shirt in a multitude of colors and inks. You asked for these sets, and now they are here. Too heavy to weigh, and too tall to explain, these massive instant downloads include both wild rarities and instant classics.
OFFICIAL TMBG T-SHIRTS ARE A GO! NEW DESIGNS and A NEW RIVALRY
Who knew that when we introduced our second Science is Real design and our very first Heavy Metal Logo design they would both skyrocket to the top of the year's sales figures--and almost neck and neck in numbers? What shirt proclaims you are a thoughtful person seeing past the flat earth information silos and conspiracy theories promoted by nutballs that still roam cable television, terrestrial radio, and the halls of the White House? Getting our new, fully peer-reviewed Scientist shirt (now improved with safety goggles) actually lets you VOTE TWICE in the culture wars!
BUT THERE’S STILL TWO SIDES!
And the second side is preparing for a megaavalanche race, holding a Jaegermiester and wearing this Heavy Metal Logo shirt under a jean jacket--YOUR jean jacket because the second side is YOU in the FUTURE! This shirt says it all when the only thing to say is METAL. There will be no compromising!
Which shirt will emerge as They Might Be Giants’ best-seller this year? It’s a coin toss right now, but that could change very quickly. Participate and tell us what you think--more Dionysian hedonism or greater understanding?
OR MAYBE YOU JUST WANT THE TRANQUILITY OF
THE PERFECT BIRDHOUSE SHIRT…
Nothing more needs to be said, except this is a 100% cotton shirt with an oatmeal color.
MANY PEOPLE ARE WONDERING WHAT ALL THE HUBBUB ABOUT HOLIDAY BUNDLES MEANS?
Maybe it’s because things are often on sale for HALF PRICE, as we bundle together a variety of products that can be both a thoughtful gift to the TMBG-lover in your life, as well as some sweet smaller gifts for, um, yourself!
It’s the COMPACT DISC SUPER PAK BUNDLE
Fifteen discs for the price of seven and a half!
Put aside the mustache wax, the home butchery handbook, and monocles and tiny top hats of the steampunk nation. Now is the time to join the growing masses clamoring for the latest obsolete NORMCORE obsession--the COMPACT DISC. Revolutionary in its time, and viewed as a lifesaver for the utterly myopic music industry. Notoriously indestructible until scratched. CDs were kind of portable as well as highly focused on the music of your actual preference. These discs were SO GOOD they weren’t just packaged once, but packaged twice inside a second cardboard box more than twice its size. SO GOOD that the price at times tripled that of lesser formats. SO GOOD they even had complete lyrics and technical liner notes typically confirming that once again this disc, like most discs, was mastered by either Bob Ludwig or his doppelganger Greg Calbi. Don’t miss this once in a lifetime opportunity.
We are STILL working on a KIDS BUNDLE

The NEVER-ENDING FLOOD BUNDLES
The logo that launched a million albums is now imprinted on a wide variety of other things. We made up a gazillion of these objects in anticipation of an international Flood tour in 2020. Then everything went blurry. Our miscalculation is your opportunity to save on so many things that will delight the stockings of everyone you know and at a dazzlingly low price. Check out all three configurations!
When you order ANY PHYSICAL PRODUCT you can also get this for FREE
You’ll see it there for the price of $0.00. Just throw it in your shopping cart and pretend like it makes sense!
More bundles are coming, so watch this space.
