From This Might Be A Wiki

--

Um, hello. I once contributed extensively under the pseudonym, "Flux," or "Flux Capture." I cannot emphasize enough the depth of philosophical/sociological/artistic analysis I applied in an effort to share what I heard in the music of TMBG. Many kind and intelligent people responded positively, but life then dealt me some hard blows and I lost touch with the wiki. What's worse, I shared what I knew and was reminded that most people, even if they want to, can't understand the specialness that I experience when I listen.

The reason I'm writing this now is because the wiki has changed a great deal, but I am so very greatful that my earlier contributions have not only been retained, but updated and reformatted quite flatteringly. The administrator is to be commended. The other reason is that the recent years have not been kind to me, and I not only have forgotten everything about how to contribute to the wiki, but that I fear the seeds of friendship I once saw sewn have gone the way of all unnourished ova, back to dust.

Search for me under "Flux," or "Kevin Dillon." There's a page, rather post-modern, which rings of hope and not of the despair which surrounds my waking moments nowdays. In the background I hear, "Words are Like," which on my mix is followed by "Stomp Box."

I guess this is a long way of asking how to get back into the wiki. I promise I have the potential to be a positive person. My intelligence and will are not in question. What remains to be seen is whether I can find or create a purpose to ease the tug of "why."

Kevin,

We appreciate everyone's contributions here at the wiki, so my recommendation to you is to jump in and add your thoughts and knowledge on all things TMBG. Add your interpretations! Add trivia or other information! Share your impressions and insights with us! And let us know if there's anything we can do to help you. Thanks for all of your contributions--past, present, and future. I hope you have a great day and a great wiki experience. And welcome back! :) ~Drew

Account creation trouble[edit]

Hi. I don't know if this is the right place to ask a question, but I need something answered. So, I'm trying to create an account. On the account creation page, it clearly states that giving one's real name is optional—but when I clicked Create your account, it gave me the error message "Your real name is required." Something seems a little off about that, no? Can anyone shed some light? Thanks, 96.237.109.234 15:35, 27 May 2018 (EDT)
