Category talk:Don't Tread On The Cut-Up Snake World Tour (1992)

From This Might Be A Wiki

The info here suggests the World Tour included dates in '92 from 6/16 to 8/15, and then from 11/15 to 12/6. But what about the shows from mid-Aug. to mid-Nov. (including the infamous Modjeska gig)? Wasn't it all the same tour, with the same touring band? Just wondering which show pages should fill the category. --Octoflange 00:52, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

Interesting timing. This shirt on ebay lists the shows from 6/16 to 7/11 as part of an "Apollo 18 Tour". --Duke33 01:10, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
FWIW, the "Stump the Band" list, covering "songs that were played over the course of the 'Don't Tread On the Cut-Up Snake' World Tour 1992," includes dates from September and October. --Octoflange 04:16, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
And what do we make of this, from the Fall 1992 Information Bulletin:
AS THIS ISSUE OF THE BULLETIN WENT TO PRESS Brooklyn's Ambassadors of Love were embarking on the final phase of their "Don't Tread On The Cut-Up Snake World Tour 1992," which will be taking them, amongst other places, back to Boston, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles and then across the Pacific to Hawaii and Japan. By the time the tour, which began back in April in Athens, Georgia, ends in Tokyo on December 6th TMBG will have played over 120 shows in 30 U.S. states and 9 other countries, including their first show in Mexico. [etc.]
That's a much more expansive definition of the tour (April to December), even including shows before the backing band was introduced on 6/14. --Octoflange 04:34, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
